Hey there! I, Jared, am here to tell you about today. Today, our teammate, Alex, unfortunately could'n't make the meeting so we had to skip without him, even though he big carries us most of the time. We worked on getting our material done so we could practice for presentation. Marshall, Diana and I were able to get the robot and programming poster up to date. Chuck, Gilbert, Amethyst, and Astro were able to finish binder and poster. Although Alex couldn't make it, Mrs Franck was able to come and help us give feedback or ways to improve on our current presentation. We presented our presentation with our current material and Mrs Franck gave us lots of good ideas on how we can improve our presentation.  Afterwards, we split up and me and Diana along with two other teammates took turns driving the robot. Diana and I were having some struggles, luckily our two other teammates put up a good solid 148 run. Before we knew it, our whole meeting had gone by. Well I believe that is all for today, stay safe! Hello everyone! It is I, Gilbert Indrid the Third and I am here to tell you about today. We have been preparing to share our solution for the space glove and today was the day to share it. We went in separate spaceships to get to Dr. Souza's space station, which wasn't to far away. When we had gotten there, well Amethyst and I since the others got stuck, we were a bit nerves to go inside but when we did we got lost. That was an odd experience but we ended up bumping into Alex and Astro and then we found the right room to go into. After we ended up meeting Dr. Souza, who was very kind. When we presented our solution to her she seemed very interested, answering questions and looking at out prototype. We had a great time and I hope she had fun helping us. After meeting with her we went back to our space station  and quickly debriefed. Well that was our day, see you later. Gilbert out!

Hey guys and girls! Diana here, today were had a day off... and we didn't know what we wanted to do because we were in space and we don't have much to do up here. Well I was feeling adventurous and hungry... but I didn't want to go alone so i invited the crew. I guess most of the crew was hungry too because Chuck, Jarred, Gilbert, Amethyst, and Marshall came along on the search to fine somewhere to eat. After searching for 30 minutes we saw a faint yet inviting blue light in the distance. We all got excited knowing that there could be a restaurant or something in the distance... or it could have been the end of us... but guess what i'm still here to tell you the story so it wasn't BOOM. Anyways, when we got to the front of the restaurant there it was a huge sign saying Gens Korean Barbecue glowing blue in all of its glory. We were all excited, as we planned to go to a kbbq restaurant once we got back to earth but we never would have imagined that there was one in space. As we walked in and there were all kinds of extraterrestrial life filling the booths. We were over whelmed with the smell of beef and all kinds of meat. Eager to dine, we walked up to the front counter and asked for our table. We were amazed on how fast we were served a table as it seemed to be busy. Once we got our table we ordered what kind of meat we wanted, after we got our meat me and Marshall took over and cooked it for the crew. No offence to Marshall but I think he under cooked some of our meat... what ever.  After eating, talking, and enjoying our day we noticed that two hours past from the time we started to dine... we asked for the check and we tipped our amazing server. Oh! Did I mention how good the costumer service was like they would constantly check up on you and see if we needing anything it was great. We all got up, which was surprising, thanked our waiter one last time and made our way out of the restaurant. Anyways that how me and the crew spent our day off... See ya around! Diana out.

Hello there explorers! It’s me Chuck here with another mission log. Wow has this week been packed! We started our posters to present to our bosses back at HQ of all our work up here. We started by collecting all of our data and pictures of our glove prototypes. We set up our template and we also began creating a poster of just us having fun and how we work together as a space crew. We based our poster around a “Space Candyland” theme. We thought this was a great way to showcase our journey over these past two years. Not only did we try and work on our posters but we also worked on delivering a payload to our buddies down on Mars. Marshall, and I were tasked with the job of planning and executing a plan that will succefully deliver the payload. We first began by creating a new delivering system that we could hold and transport the payload safely on the track. This was a harder job than we thought. The payload was not succefully locking in to place in almost all of our simulations. This was a huge risk because we only had one payload and if we failed it would take HQ at least 2 months to send another payload into space! We were stressing day and night (technically it was almost always day lol) trying to find the best way to complete the mission. It was test day. This was it. All or nothing. The cart was loaded on our ship and our attachment about ready to launch. Here goes nothing! 3...2...1!!! And the ship was off full speed towards the payloads track where we would release the cart on. We were here right next to the track. All the ship had to do was move forward and safely deliver the payload. Oh...oh no!!! The payload didn’t lock in right! We are doomed! Our ship automatically pushed the track up to deliver he payload but this was no good the payload rolled off and was lost. We had failed! We were heartbroken. But this didn’t stop us from realizing our mistakes. This just put a chip on our shoulders for next time we attempt a mission. Well so long fellow astronauts! This had been Chuck. Hello again! It is I, Gilbert, the teal astronaut! Man oh man was to day exciting, we had to do a lot today! We all had something to do. I started to work on the new sketch design for our glove which was really fun since I do love to draw. Amethyst was working on a poster and Chuck was working on our mission runs, like counting the average of points and how our runs have improved. The others were working on our presentation and how to fix a few parts. Chuck and Alex did a run with the robot, I also got to take a spin with both of them which was really fun. Towards the end of our meeting we started to pack everything up. We helped the other space team by writing  a check list. Many of us had to leave at 6 p.m, leaving Chuck and I with two of the other team's members. We eventually got everything packed and went home.  

Hey space cadets! I'm back! For those of you who don't know me I'm Astro!  Today was kind of a mellow day for us.  We finally found a solution to those super uncomfortable space gloves which is good for me, because this way when I go on my space walks I can use the tools more efficiently and less painfully!  We found out that the problem is more in the bladder so we decided to try and fix that.  The bladder makes the glove super uncomfortable, because of the uneven pressure which can also cause us astronauts to lose our fingernails, and can develop diseases. So we decided on going with something that can help move and even out the pressure a little bit.  We decided to make a "second skin", and this second skin will sort of be made out of two layers, the first is sort of made out of material that's skin tight, but stretchy like a doctors glove, and the second layer will be made out of some material that can expand and contracts, like one of those expanding and contracting balls with the complicated plastic structure.  Using this the material will expand or contract as your moving your joints, and when it expands it presses against the bladder forcing the pressure to spread out, so that it becomes more even around your hands.  As we worked on our solution we also worked on our robot.   We ran multiple runs and scoring with the highest 132 points.  We added a new mission called 3D printing and so that adds 18 points onto our runs.  So if we ever get a clean perfect run the most we can is 148 points.  Our goal is to get to 150-170 points by this Saturday so we can roll into our practice competition with a 150-170 point run.  Which reminds me! Practice competition is in 2 weeks! I'm super nervous! But I know we'll do a good job at the event!  Even if we don't it's okay, we still got our Qualifiers event, and hopefully our Regionals! MaHello there every and anyone out there reading this. It’s Chuck here. Today was an interesting fun ride. I went on my first ever space walk! Usually I’m the one who stays in but the crew finally decided it was time for me Chuck to go out. The mission was to hop on the space shuttle and deliver the two satellites in the outer rings of the neighboring planet. This was no simple mission we had less than 20 seconds to deploy the shuttle and hope that I could correctly set the satalites in the correct position. To be honest I was terrified. I wasn’t sure if I was prepared or if I would make a mistake the whole mission would be compromised. My teeth were shaking but my programming crew Gilbert, and Marshall. They told me to take a deep breath and relax. It wasn’t like our lives were on the line or anything....ugh on second though I was about ready to pee my pants I was so terrified. I got in my suit. The gloves were a little annoying. You swear you were squishing a volleyball with all this pressure. But other than that I was getting ready. The seconds were ticking...it was time. It was time for me to deliver the satalites and fulfill my duty. BOOM! Just like that we were in orbit heading fast towards the planets orbit. We were 10 seconds away....5 seconds away...we were there! Just as fast as we got there I was thrown out. I was focused. Determined to complete my mission and come back a hero. I aligned the satalites just right making sure they weren’t off even by a millimeter. Mission a success!!! It was exhilarating. I loved it! I’m so glad they talked me into it. Hello, its Marshall the one and only.  Today, unfortunately Alex was out on a personal mission for the day.  Since the team was missing Alex, we skipped out on research and worked on rover.  Our goal at the end of the mission was to have all of our previous missions working.  Gilbert and I were working on programing.  Gilbert worked on completing the My Block for turning whilst I worked on perfecting our other missions.  Amethyst, Diana, and Chuck were working on running the mission and adjusting the rover to make it accommodate to other mission.  They made the module attachment one piece, and Chuck made a holder so we can put the satellites into orbit.  Whilst all of this was happening Jared and Astro worked on building the drive train of our original rover so we can work on programs without disturbing what others are doing with the rover.  Unfortunately for programming our satellites mission was deleted, but luckily we took a picture of it.  Aren't we lucky.  Well hope you have a nice day-Marshall

Hey there! It's me Jared! Today officially marks two months into our season, meaning we need to start gathering up some missions. While our other comrades were working on other missions and project, Diana and I decided to give "Meteoroid Deflection" a try. We first started by sketching out our strategy. Diana and I both sketched out our own ideas on how to accomplish the mission and then shared it to each other. After going over our ideas and having arguments about whose color was better, we came to a conclusion that we would do meteoroid deflection, escape velocity and lander touch-down all in one run. Diana drew her idea for an attachment and started building it but unfortunately couldn't finish. Tomorrow we plan to at least have half of the mission working that way, we'll have some progress on missions. Well that's all for today see ya next time! -Jared

Hello Amethyst here! Today was a pretty intense day due to the fact we did so many test runs.. Me and Alex would set up and run the rover, and also Marshal and Gilbert worked on the controls and fixing the problems with the mission. In the middle of the one of the runs, I somehow forgot to put the module in... Which was super embarrassing and just super sad. We also figured out many flaws with the program, and tried to fix them. For example, in one of the missions the rover never came back to base which was a really bad problem during our run, so we had to run out and bring it back. The programmers fixed this problem, so the rover comes back to base, which was a good thing because it was super tiring running and dragging the rover back. During the run our goal was to finish a couple missions like, module, extraction, space travel, and solar panel array. We did accomplish some of these missions, but always somehow failed module, which was pretty stressful. Tomorrow we will, for sure, try to perfect our programs, and make sure to have one "successful" run. Talk to you guys later, peace! -Amethyst
